Trouble Installing VMs in ESXi: Operating System not found?!

Today I was working on setting up my home lab on ESXi 6.7 U3 where each of the various operating systems I was attempting to install kept displaying an error on the page that the operating system was not found.  This didn’t make sense because I mounted each ISO using the local datastore on my ESXi server.

When setting up the Virtual Machine, step 4 in the setup process you can customize some of the settings.  In this section make sure to select the option to force loading directly into BIOS on the next boot. NOTE:  This option resets after each time the VM turns on.  If you need to enter BIOS again, make sure to go back in and check this box on the VM.

Once in BIOS, go to the Boot settings.  Make sure to have your hard drive as choice #1 and making sure that VMware Virtual SCSI Hard Drive is the first choice within the hard drive.  Save and boot.  The ISO should load kicking off the installation of your chosen operation system. Hopes this helps.
